From June 3rd to 8th, 2025, the vibrant seaside city of Loutraki, Greece, transformed into a global hub for amateur sports as it hosted the 8th edition of the CSIT World Sport Games. Over 4,500 athletes from more than 60 countries gathered to celebrate the true spirit of sport.
This international, multi-sport festival offered a unique atmosphere where athletes of all ages and levels competed in more than 30 disciplines.
The event began with a spectacular opening ceremony filled where nations marched in proudly and friendships began to bloom. Throughout the week, Loutraki’s modern sports facilities and sunny coastline provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable experience.
Jump rope was part of the program for the first time ever. The International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) was invited as a partner federation, a significant milestone for sport of jump rope on the global stage. Athletes from Slovakia, Israel, Italy, and Greece came together to participate in an amateur speed competition, competing both individually and in teams.
Each event was held over the course of three days, where athletes had three opportunities to perform, with their two best results averaged to determine final rankings. The format added an extra layer of intensity and strategy, while still maintaining the inclusive and community-driven spirit of the World Sport Games.
The mornings were filled with competition, fast feet, and the rhythm of ropes snapping against the floor. Every afternoon, however, opened up a new dimension of the event! Three-hour long workshops, an opportunity to share experiences, learn new tricks, and continue progressing.
Adrienn Bànhegyi had the honour of being involved in several roles throughout the event: as an organiser, a judge, an educator, and a representative of the European Rope Skipping Organisation (ERSO). The atmosphere was filled with motivation, encouragement, and a shared passion for movement.
One of our Jumpplus instructors was also present as the head of the Slovakian delegation!
As a finale to an already powerful experience, the jump rope team performed at the closing ceremony!
Music, lights, cheers, and a deep sense of accomplishment filled the air at the closing of the chapter of an unforgettable week.
